Tilly Legge is a slashie extraordinaire. She’s an actor/improvisor/writer/VO artist/knitter, and producer with her Green Room Award winning company Lightning Jar Theatre. With her company she produced/acted in Mr. Burns, a post-electric play (Dir. John Kachoyan) which garnered six Green Room Award nominations and one win for Best Production. She also starred in Venus in Fur (Dir. Kirsten von Bibra). Other stage roles include Salome in Salome (Dir. Bob Pavlich), Estelle in No Exit (Dir. Roslyn Dobelsky) and Queenie in Wild Party (Dir. Bob Pavlich). On screen she’s been in The Clearing (Disney+), Neighbours and Offspring (Network 10) as well as numerous features (The Butcher Possessions, Wedgetail) and short films (Summit, Last Ditch, Book of the Old Ways). Tilly trained at La Trobe University in her Bachelor of Arts as well as extensively in the Student Theatre Program. Later she trained at 16th Street Actors Studio in the Full Time Program & since with her mentor Penelope Chater, among many others.
With a focus on comedy, Tilly has been training and performing regularly with several teams at The
Improv Conspiracy as well as being an ensemble member at The Big Hoo Haa. Recently she shot TV pilot WTFitness, an ensemble comedy set in a gym during Covid as well as a supporting role in ‘Til You Make It (Dir. Scott Major) She is also a sketch comedy writer and performer for In Newcastle Tonight, a pre-recorded online tonight show.
