Amy has been training in dance since she was 2 years old. She completed her Diploma of Musical Theatre with Kelly Aykers Fulltime Dance, where she trained in Classical, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop and broadway, as well as singing and acting.
Whilst studying, she had the experience of working with Kelly, Dean Murphy and Pip Mushin as the ensemble on a professional workshop for a new musical of ‘Cinderella’ along with many of Australia’s leading musical theatre performers. Amy has been working throughout Victoria, recently performing at Hamer Hall for John Foreman’s Aussie Pop Orchestra’s NYE Gala with Marina Prior and Mark Vincent.
She also has been on regional tour with Kelly Aykers new Broadway company, ‘Company A’, and also worked on the movie ‘The Very Excellent Mr Dundee’ as one of the dancers, also choreographed by Kelly. She is currently doing singing lessons with Jensen Overend, and has worked with choreographers, such as Dana Jolly and Sue Ellen on various corporate gigs, such as dancing with ACMI Opening ‘Stairs to Screen Show’ and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as a cancan dancer at Hamer Hall. She is also part of ‘Brooks and Baker’, performing 1920s shows at various corporate events.
Amy has also performed with PLOS Musical Productions in many of their shows, including playing the role ‘Meg Guiry’ in Phantom of the Opera, and had the opportunity to choreograph ‘Beauty and the Beast’ with Panorama Theatre Company.
