About
Clara is a Chinese Australian actor who first found her love of storytelling at 8 years old when putting on plays in the lounge room like “The Girl and the Kangaroo”. After graduating high school, she felt compelled to follow a more stable path and began a Bachelor of Arts at USYD (English Literature, and Gender and Cultural Studies).
While studying and lying to herself, Clara somehow found herself on the set of a feature film and suddenly, life made sense. It would, however, take her another 4 years to overcome her fears and accept this call to adventure.
A month after graduating from Screenwise’s Advanced Diploma of Screen Acting, she appeared on Channel 7’s Home and Away as Marie. Clara has also had experience working on campaigns and commercials for companies including KFC, Adyen, CASA, and the National Careers Institute.
She has continued to develop her craft with Ben Matthews, Anthony Meindl, Les Chantery, and Lisa Robertson. Outside of acting, Clara is a passionate advocate for diversity, and mental health awareness. Her spare time is devoted to journaling, watching plays and movies, hiking, reading, writing poetry, painting, and scenic photography.
