Niina grew up in Cairns QLD and made the big move to Melbourne in 2018, at age 17, to pursue a career in the performing arts. From 2018- 2019 she completed her Diploma in Musical Theatre, as a scholarship student, at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance. Throughout her training she appeared as a dancer for Tones & I at the AFL Grand Final, AFL footy show revue, White Night Melbourne and Australia’s Got Talent.
Since graduating, Niina has performed as a dancer in Loredo Malcolm’s ONE LIGHT, Boss Dance Company’s REBORN and choreographed Western Arts Theatre’s production of Little Shop of Horrors. She also had the pleasure of originating as the lead character ‘Frieda’ in Julian Smith-Guard and Oscar Jenkin’s ON THE RISE; A NEW MUSICAL.
Niina is currently based in Melbourne and continuing her training in the performing arts through small projects and being a current company member of Boss Dance Company. Growing up biracial, she has learnt to view the world from various perspectives and that has played a part in igniting her interest to meet new people and learn from others’ life experience! She’s an open minded, inclusive and fun bubbly person who is eager to do the work and prides herself on being easy to work with.
