Mikaela Binns-Rorke, 20, is a Sydney based actor, dancer and singer.
Mikaela started her acting journey young at age 4 with a string of TVC feature leads for major brands such as Westpac, Tip-Top, IGA, Fujitsu, Career One and The National Broadband Network rollout announcements, also featuring in video spots for ASIC including their 2009 MoneySmart training along with an appearance on ABCTV’s Gruen Transfer’s ‘The Pitch’. Mikaela was cast as ‘Kishka’ in the Austin Powers style Big W Toy Domination National media campaign across the country featuring on billboards, cinema/tv/radio IV spots and shopping centre and corporate appearances…returning the following year to reprise the original character.
Growing up in the local theatre scene saw Mikaela take on various roles in musical society productions of Annie (2011), Wizard of Oz (2013) and Tinkerbell in Peter Pan (2013) whilst eagerly taking part in NSW Arts Create South (2013) and ensemble contribution in NSW State Drama Fest (2015). An advocate against bullying, Mikaela was featured in an E-Safety campaign to educate Australian children on how to deal with bullying. 2018 saw Mikaela take up the lead, Penny, in the Australian short film ‘Dirt’ (Rum Runner Films) a horror/slash film that provided opportunity for Mikaela to showcase a more physically challenging role not often awarded to a young female.
Her most recent work is portraying the character of Young Tess in Paramount+ TV series One Night(2023).
Mikaela has mastered a solid standard American accent and continues her acting studies via personal coaching and various industry workshops. Aside the above, Mikaela is a warm, generous and cheeky personality who prides herself on being easy to work with!
